Palisade’s Agritours

With a backdrop of dramatic cliffs and towering mesas, Palisade’s agritours offer a special experience in a pastoral setting of orchards and vineyards.  Opportunities abound for visitors to learn how fruit, wine, and farm products are grown from the ground up and prepared and sent to market.  Each business presents a one-of-a-kind experience.  Visitors can tour orchards, vineyards, and farms, see production facilities and packing sheds, and even learn how wine, distilled spirits and beer are made.

Tours include organic orchards; community supported agriculture; packaged fruit products; fruit stands; large commercial orchards; alpaca and lavender farms; vineyards and wineries; brewery and distillery.  Indoor tours of wineries and distillery and brewery operations capture the craftsmanship of beverage-making.  Visitors can learn about lavender uses, milling alpaca wool, or packing tree-ripened peaches.  Enjoy a guided tour from the comfort of an air-conditioned van.

Most tours will involve walking on uneven, working soil.  For comfort and safety, we discourage open-toed and high-heel shoes and encourage comfortable clothing. Sunscreen, a hat and water are recommended.  Be sure to bring your camera!
